The Deftones are hard at work on their 5th album, which is said to be their most dark/evil work to date, with Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Jane's Addiction) overseeing the project. Expect a special CD/DVD commemorating the 10th anniversary of the first Deftones album, Adrenaline. This will feature never-before seen or heard music, performances and videos spanning their amazing career. Chino Moreno is currently on tour with his Side project, Team Sleep. The last time I got an email from DJ Crook, They were down under in Australia and will be touring until late August. Chino will then finish the vocals to the Deftones album while Team Sleep gets to work on their 2nd album, which will feature Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha. Some superstar collaborations going on here and we are glad to in contact with such dope musicians. Expect the new Deftones album sometime in the Fall.
