It's Official. It's been reported on the latest issue of SCRATCH Magazine that Nas & Primo are recording a full album, which is the best news out there for fanatics of the Illmatic era Nasir Jones. DJ Premier breaks down alot of knowledge and insight in the interview. He has some choice words to the Disk Jockeys out there regarding Rane's SERATO....

"With Rane's Serato, there's a lot of microwave DJ's out there with MP3's. But Serato is, to me, something you have to earn. I'm like "have you dug in the crates? Do you have at least 2,000 records? We got sad news that Actor Pat Morita passed away yesterday of natural causes at the age of 73. He had a very fascinating history. Born in 1932, he was hospitalized in his early years with Spinal Tuberculosis only to recover and be sent to a Japanese American Internment Camp during World War 2. The OG Nutter might have more info on this part of his life... Going thru all that adversity, He rose up in the ranks and became one of the first prominent asian american comedian/actors in Hollywood. You might remeber him from his appearances on Green Acres, The Odd Couple, Happy Days and his biggest role, The Karate Kid. R.I.P. to an OG.

Portal company Yahoo Inc. informed customers of its subscription music download service that it will increase pricing for users who transfer their tunes onto portable devices or CDs.

The Sunnyvale, Calif., firm forwarded an e-mail to its Yahoo Music Unlimited subscribers late Thursday telling customers that it plans to double the fee it charges for the so-called unlimited service from $4.99 per month to $9.99 per month, for people who buy the service on an annual basis.

Yahoo said people who subscribe to the download service on a monthly basis will see their memberships increase from $6.99 per month to $11.99 per month.

Beastie Boys are hard at work once again, both sonically and visually. They got a whole new look to their website, stocked up a grip of merchandise, have a new greatest hits album entitled "Solid Gold Hits" which should be out by now... They are quoted as saying, "We was kinda skeptical like "do we really need a freakin' greatest hits record? that shit is soft....." but then after we got the cover laid out and the joints sequenced and remastered with the extra stupid a-little-love-for-the-subwoofer bass, it sounded huge, so we can't really be that mad. also, all of those videos being on one disc is nice. so if you are into that type of shit, then there is that.

Oh yeah, The Beastie Boys also got a film entitled "Awesome, I fuckin' shot that!", that was directed by Adam Yauch, a.k.a. M.C.A. under the alias Nathaniel Hornblower. It should drop sometime in 2006. It features a Beastie Boys performance at Madison Square Garden from 2004 where the Beasties handed off 50 cameras to their fans and gives it a crazy real time POV feel to it. So all you hardcore Beastie fans can rejoice as The Beastie Boys continue to blaze paths thru hiphop and beyond. DB wanted to give a quick shoutout to our visitors from Europe. Ever since Akaider did a scoop on D-Flame, Europe has been stopping by like crazy. Today, We give you a scoop on a great beatmaker outta Germany by the name of Shuko. Audio1's been playing his material since he did Doujah Raze's remix of Irish Cream. Oh yea, Cop the new Doujah Raze album that dropped this past Tuesday on Trilogy Records. Highly recommended hiphop!

There is a new producer on the scene as Shuko's entrance into the United States has earned him resounding early success. Shuko has been very busy of late lending his production talents to projects by underground veterans Army of the Pharaohs (Apathy, Vinnie Paz, Celph Titled, 7L & Esoteric), as well as projects with Scales of Nappy Roots, Big Noyd, Doujah Raze, O.C. and more. Recently, he produced the street anthem "Out There," which he recorded with Atlantic Recording artist Saigon. This track has been featured on several prominent Mix-Tapes and has received solid radio play on satellite radio outlets like XM. Shuko has also recently licensed his work for appearance on the successful AND 1 Mixtape series which pairs street basketball video clips with the hottest Hip Hop beats. Shuko's work will appear on Volume 8: Back on the Block.

Shuko hails from Mainz, Germany, a city outside of the Frankfurt metropolis. One of Hip Hop's top up and coming producers, Shuko has already recorded projects with Jedi Mind Tricks, Sadat X and Immortal Technique, as well as many other artists including some of the top selling Hip Hop acts in Europe and Australia. Through translation Shuko says, "I'm very pleased and humbled with the response to my production. Having major labels calling with inquiries is very rewarding. We have some big things in the works that I will hopefully be able to share with the public very soon."
