Dojo monks took notice of this dancehall songstress last year with her smooth sing-jay style, tight hooks... and her ripe booty didn't hurt either! Recently signed to a four album deal with Universal, Tami is ready to blow up Sean Paul style. Having a mixed background (Black, White, Chinese & Cherokee) and having lived in UK & JA, everyone seems to be able to claim Tami Chin as their own. Also its nice to put her in the mix between roughneck DJs like Bounty & Capleton, helps to blow up the club and get ladies into the dancehall styles. Today the monks have served up a couple tracks, Tami doin her giant hit "Hyperventilating" on the popular Stepz riddim (goes good with Dojo pick 'Legalize It' also on Stepz) and the more recent "Hot!" on Black Chiney's massive Kopa riddim. 2005 should be a big year for Tami, we eagerly await for her debut album to drop later this year!

Two of this generation's most respected hip-hop artists, Danger Mouse and MF DOOM, have come together to produce DANGERDOOM: The Mouse and the Mask, an album inspired by Adult Swim, Cartoon Network's popular late-night animation network. The album, set to debut in October 2005, will be released on Epitaph Records, in association with Adult Swim. The album will contain character voices and skits from Adult Swim's most popular original shows, including Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.

Danger Mouse is recognized as one of music's most innovative artists and producers. Danger Mouse's The Grey Album, an ingenious re-production of Jay-Z's Black Album with the Beatles' White Album, was named the Album-of-the-Year in 2004 by Entertainment Weekly and catapulted him into the international spotlight. Danger Mouse recently produced Gorillaz Demon Days album, which has sold more than 500,000 copies worldwide in it's initial first weeks of release. His next project is Gnarls Barkley, a collaboration with music's flamboyant, one-of-a-kind force of nature, Cee-Lo.

After a five-year hiatus that ended in 1998, Daniel Dumile, a former member of KMD, emerged as MF DOOM, a persona inspired by the comic supervillain Dr. Doom, and released the critically praised albums Operation: Doomsday and Mmm...Food. DOOM also released one of 2004's most acclaimed albums, Madvillain (featured in Spin, Rolling Stone, Vibe, The New Yorker, etc), under the same name and Venomous Villain under the name Victor Vaughn. Show starts @ 6:30pm. Kinnara Taiko (LA's OG taiko group) closes the evening with their brand of inner city drum beats! Food from Mama's Hot Tamales Cafe and a no-host bar will be available. AUDIO We bring it to the streets!

The Deftones are hard at work on their 5th album, which is said to be their most dark/evil work to date, with Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Jane's Addiction) overseeing the project. Expect a special CD/DVD commemorating the 10th anniversary of the first Deftones album, Adrenaline. This will feature never-before seen or heard music, performances and videos spanning their amazing career. Chino Moreno is currently on tour with his Side project, Team Sleep. The last time I got an email from DJ Crook, They were down under in Australia and will be touring until late August. Chino will then finish the vocals to the Deftones album while Team Sleep gets to work on their 2nd album, which will feature Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha. Some superstar collaborations going on here and we are glad to in contact with such dope musicians. Expect the new Deftones album sometime in the Fall. We wanted to give a quick shoutout to the homie The Alchemist who was seriously injured this past week when the Anger Management 3 tour bus he was riding in got into a bad accident outside of Odessa, Missouri. The Alchemist is being treated at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City for broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Along with him were Eminem’s latest protégé, Atlanta's Stat Quo, Stat’s Manager, Alchemist’s brother/co-manager Neil and Em’s bodyguard, Scott Cherry, All whom suffered from minimal injuries and were later released from local hospitals. Our respect and prayers go to The Alchemist. Hope that wont affect his beat making, as he has been lacing some of hiphop’s hottest MC’s for many years now, having worked with Mobb Deep (Got It Twisted), Nas and Dilated Peoples.
