Fado In Fado In..... till ya don't stop...
Raideen... still the Bomb!
Just as we start to get tired of the internet along comes a way to see some of the best TV that graced our Sony Trinitrons and RCA color tv sets before there were remote controls. Yeah those days were fun playing ball till the sun went down and trying to do anything possible to avoid doing homework for us latch key kids. I still think the Latch Key Kids were ahead of our time because that's where today's innovators came from.... single parent families and no parental supervision after school. Who would have known that the only thing that would get me home after a good afternoon of playing baseball is a half hour TV show on the Japanese and Spanish network channel 52 called Raideen. This is about 1975, one year before the bi-centennial... remember that? I saw every episode so many times over and sang the intro song all night long. Shoots, I even picked up some of the original rare vinyl records on color vinyl with gatefold jackets in Tokyo in 2002. It's all about the lo-tech and analog..... aaaah yes, Top Ramen and Raideen, nothing but good times.
